DJ Miss Milan is a Grammy Award-winning DJ, producer, and creative director whose magnetic sets and cultural influence have made her a fixture across global stages, luxury brands, and underground soundscapes. As the official DJ for Doechii and founder of EMPWR Beats, Milan moves with precision, power, and purpose—delivering not just music, but a movement.

A Look Into My Journey

Raised in Queens by way of Brooklyn, with roots in Barbados and Guyana, Milan’s sound is a rich fusion of hip-hop, R&B, house, and Caribbean influences. Her early love for performance evolved into a passion for DJing—a path that allowed her to creatively express herself and connect deeply with audiences. In 2017, she took a leap of faith, leaving her 9–5 to pursue her dream, which led to mixtape success and becoming Saweetie’s touring DJ.

Her creative evolution expanded through her collaboration with Doechii, which began before the artist’s TDE signing. As Doechii’s official DJ and co-musical director, Milan has played a pivotal role in performances praised by Billboard and awarded by the Grammys. She co-produced “Boom Bap” on Doechii’s Grammy-winning Alligator Bites Never Heal and continues to shape electrifying shows through innovative set curation and behind-the-scenes direction.

Beyond the stage, Milan is a driving force in media and advocacy. She’s held residencies on Hot 97 and SiriusXM, appeared on Apple Music shows with Ebro and Estelle, and been featured in Vogue, Billboard, and Rolling Stone. She uses her voice to uplift women and LGBTQIA creators through GIRLGVNG Global and has received a New York State Assembly citation for her impact on music and community.

Today, Milan is expanding her legacy as a cultural tastemaker and executive producer. Through her R&B event Computer Love, her platform The Interlude RNB, and her mentorship program EMPWR Beats, she’s cultivating spaces for creative expression, connection, and empowerment. With every move, she builds on her mission to lead with love, inspire authenticity, and champion joy—on and off the stage.
